Villa Vajra is a luxury villa standing just 50 meters apart in the village of Sebali which is only a ten minute drive from the cultural hub of Ubud. Villa Vajra is perched dramatically on the edge of a deep river gorge, resourcefully integrated into the natural contours of the hill. A beautiful stroll garden has been created for our guests in our extensive grounds.
These romantic hideaways are classics of contemporary Balinese architecture with thatched roofs while open to the drama of their surrounding landscapes. Villa Vajra can comfortably accommodate 8 people.
Ubud is also is a perfect hub from which to visit every corner of Bali. From volcano to sea there are a wide variety of beach and tourist activities and sports. Not only does nature provide its spectacular array but internationally acclaimed entertainment and cuisine have come to the island. Our experienced English speaking drivers who know the local history can guide you to them.  For those who seek excitement in nature, there is a wide range of activities to choose from. The countryside around Sebali is particularly beautiful; an abundance of trails offer memorable walks through peaceful rice fields. It is a bird watchers dream.
The villa is located just minutes outside the cultural town of Ubud. The villas which offer a variety of services in-house, also provide a perfect location from which to sample the various cultural delights and local activities of the area.

Vajra Villas is surrounded by picturesque rice fields and distant mountains. It is set in an archetypal Balinese village where the day-to-day spiritual/cultural life unfolds. Life in rural Bali remains essentially unchanged. The Balinese practice a unique form of Hinduism with an aesthetic sensibility that flavors every moment: rituals and ceremonies revolve around the traditional family compounds and local village temples. Cultural performances are everywhere. Bali is renowned for its dance forms as well as its unique musical idiom. Almost every town has its own gamelan orchestra. Wherever you are the hypnotic rhythms of this staccato metallic and bamboo music is rarely out of earshot.
Vajra is committed to the use of organic food products whenever possible. Two extremely talented in-house cooks are shared between the Villas. They offer an array of tempting Balinese and other Southeast Asian delicacies as well as traditional Western cuisines. Cooking classes are possible and special dietary requirements and dishes not on the menu are available on request.
A price list of alcoholic beverages is available. If you prefer your own wines a corkage fee of Rp 50,000 per bottle will be charged. During your stay the staff will do the shopping daily and keep receipts for the ingredients. Food and non-alcoholic beverage items are charged based on a grocery cost system plus 30%. In addition we stock a selection of affordable wines.

Location
Vajra Villas is a ten minute drive or majestic 45 minute walk to Ubud, which is the center of Bali’s famed cultural life and a shopper’s paradise. It offers a wide selection for art lovers. Museums and innumerable art galleries display traditional as well as contemporary work. Each village practices its own art form handed down from generation to generation: painting, stone sculpture, wood carving, weaving, furniture making and silver design. Bali’s fabric designs and clothing are valued worldwide. Cultural performances often centering on the Hindu epic ‘The Ramayana’, are frequently staged in the area. The Kecak, Monkey, Legong, Barong and Fire Dances are recognized worldwide.
The villas are situated in the quiet traditional village of Sebali in the district of Kaliki, an hour and fifteen minute drive from Ngurah Rai international airport, about a ten minute drive from the cultural town of Ubud and a 50 minute drive from several of Bali’s famed beaches. Ubud is Bali’s centre for fine arts, dance and music, and the surrounding villages are home to Bali’s most accomplished painters, dancers, musicians and carvers. Its central location makes it convenient for touring the island. Situated three hundred meters above sea level in the foothills of the central mountain range, the region boasts a fresher, more pleasant climate than the southern coastal regions.

Manager
Meet and greets guests on their arrival, orients them to all that the villa has to offer, and helps them to plan their stay both on-site and by organizing exciting excursions around the island. He also will arrange for individual needs.
Two Villa Attendants
The two villa attendants are in charge of housekeeping and F&B service.
Cooks
Trained cook in local cuisine as well as a wide range of international specialties. They do daily marketing and prepare meals to fit the guest’s dietary preferences.
Security Guards
The security guards on-duty to ensure the safety and security of the guests and the premises.
Garden & Pool Attendants
Gardener and pool attendants work discreetly to maintain the landscaping and the pool without disturbing the guests.
