Villa Sungai Tinggi is beautiful traditional-style rental villas rest on the shores of a pristine black-sand beach in the peaceful rural village of Pererenan, on Bali's south-west coast. The larger main villa Sungai Tinggi, comprises 4 bedrooms (plus two studies convertible to additional bedrooms), a glorious open-sided living and dining pavilion and an 18-metre infinity edge pool.
Our Villas are fully staffed including a villa manager and in-house chef, and are available for rent separately, for couples and small families, or together for larger groups. The abundance of space on this property provides the perfect setting for weddings and private events.

About Villa Sungai Tinggi
Villa Sungai Tinggi offers a rare taste of traditional Balinese luxury. It's name meaning ‘high river', this blissful four-bedroom villa sits on the banks of a small lagoon, where the river meets the sea, with over 100 metres of beach frontage overlooking one of Canggu's infamous surf breaks.
The villa was designed and built by a family of long-term Bali residents whose love and passion for the island is evident from their choice of local materials and the museum-like collection of handpicked artworks scattered throughout the home. Exotic timber floors, coral-limestone walls and alang-alang thatched roofs mix delightfully with antique artefacts and weavings to give the villa its distinctive style and ambiance.
This admiration for the local environment extends to the villa's magnificent tropical surroundings. Soft rolling lawns hug the landscape's natural contours while a free-form 18 metre infinity swimming pool blends seamlessly with the ocean all the way to the horizon. Fragrant frangipanis and swaying coconut palms frame the garden amongst a sea of luscious green foliage to create a stunning and private oasis.
A key ingredient of this oasis is the warm and friendly staff, many of whom reside in the local village. They have a strong attachment to the villa and clearly love taking care of its guests. From folding back your bed at night, preparing your bath with rose petals, manicuring the garden or cooking a delicious home-style meal, they will ensure your stay at Villa Sungai Tinggi is relaxing and truly memorable.

If you do feel like venturing beyond the villa you can take advantage of the beach, right on your doorstep, which offers some of the island's best surf. Or, if exploration and discovery's more your thing, make the most of the villa's car and driver and head for the majestic Mount Batukaru that beckons in the distance.

Dining
Take advantage of the three experienced cooks who are at your service to prepare delicious home-style meals. The villa offers a suggestion menu featuring Asian and international dishes to cater to all tastes with an excellent selection of vegetarian and children's options.
Groceries and beverages are charged at cost price. Guests will be requested to provide grocery money in advance and the staff will do the shopping for you and keep the receipts for your reference.
Children at Villa Sungai Tinggi
Villa Sungai Tinggi provides plenty of space for youngsters with its 18 metre swimming pool, large rolling lawns not to mention the beach on the doorstep just waiting to be explored. The team of friendly staff will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).
Don't worry about packing all those cumbersome extras for your stay: the villa already has the essentials (high chair, cot, etc), and anything we don't have we can order in for a small fee. Just let us know in advance what you will need.
Although the equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily do this for you - just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or cooks and they will take care of the rest. Tasty sandwiches after tennis? Pancakes by the pool for breakfast? No problem. They can customise all meals to suit children's taste buds.

Balinese massage
Release built up tension with a traditional Balinese massage. Using a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oils to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, you will feel totally relaxed in no time.
Foot reflexology
Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.
Body scrub
A full body scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your skin leaving it soft and smooth. A rejuvenating scrub combines an abrasive material such as salt, coffee, rice bran or pecan hulls with essential oils to remove any impurities and make your skin glow.
Manicure/pedicure
Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve. Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.
