Villa Sungai Laut is set within the 30 sqm of land with big gardens, mangroves and coconut grove, the villa is located directly on the river mouth where it joins the Ocean and enjoys Ocean views as well as Sunsets over the Ocean and Sunrise through the Coconut Grove. The villa has 2 bedrooms located at Pererenan beach front.
Construction is of old teak wood combined with coconut timber. The villa provides 2 Air
conditioned Bedrooms, Kitchen, Bathroom, Living Room enclosed with sliding doors and generous terraces to 3 sides as well as dip pool. Bedrooms, Living Room and Terraces look directly over the River, Ocean and Coconut Grove. All sliding doors are fully glazed to preserve the view when closed for the night.
Internally the timbers are whitewashed to give a driftwood feel, furnishings are large and
comfortable and reminiscent of old Bali. Soft furnishings are tasteful and coloured to harmonise with the interiors and the landscape. Paintings throughout the villa depict Bali in the early 20th Century and together with the architecture, building materials and interiors reflect the feel of a bygone era.
The villa was designed as a family retreat.
The villa has only just been completed late 2012 and been described variously as enchanting, very pretty, wonderful and delightful by those fortunate enough to visit and stay to date.
It is simplicity when the rest of Bali, and the world is looking for innovation and new ideas.
We hope you enjoy your step back in time and appreciate Bali for what it was as well as being able to take in the new Bali by visiting the busier areas around Seminyak and Ubud which are less than a 20 minute and 45 minute drive respectively. Villa Sungai Laut is between 40 minutes and 1.5 hour drive from the airport depending on traffic and time of day. It is a short walk to Echo Beach where there are a variety of Western casual Restaurants.
