About Villa Bodhi
It is said that bali is home to the gods. Ubud, the center of this mystical island and gathering place for the arts, is the heart of bali. Villa Bodhi, named after the tree of enlightenment, is just
25 minutes outside of ubud.
Here in a timeless jungle textured with bamboo and coconut, you will find tiyingan, a little village of 60 families who are your hosts. As a guest, you will discover your spirit in the echo of their temple prayers and gamalan music. You will be nourished with fresh local produce from their local market. An organic garden of herbal miracles seasons all your meals.
Your visit begins with a welcome drink brewed from fresh hibiscus blossoms, local rice delicacies sprinkled with fresh coconut shavings sweetened with palm sugar. and a cool towel. A full staff magically responds to every desire with kind and simple kindness.
Quiet time awaits in the salt water infinity pool that overlooks the valley. Bathe in sunlight, float under the stars. These spaces are built around the over 100 years old carved joglo towers that are left open air with the bamboo shades.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
When a name is given, destiny is created. Sri ensures peaceful prosperity. Laba grants success to those who work hard at creating good karma. Menala helps illuminate the path that lights the way to happiness. Jaya bestows the glory to those who quietly study life. The four cottages have been appropriately named.

Sri :
kamakmuran, damai dan suka memuji bersatu. the cottage lines are inspired by the traditional gladak. this space was created to be wheelchair accessible and has two double beds.

Jaya    :
kemenangan unggul, tetap pendirian. this contemporary two story building with it’s large carved teak door was the beginning of villa bodhi. It’s entry way platform that leads to the garden is the perfect setting for special ceremonies. The first floor has it’s own private bathroom and can accommodate another person upon request for an additional fee. The upstairs master bedroom has a king sized 4 post bed.

Menala  :
mencapai kamakmuran. This all teak cottage was originally constructed in 1863. A tibetan tonka, blessed by his holiness, of universal balance greets you. Let the breeze of the valley carry it’s blessings.

Laba    :
berhasil, jiwanya baik, Kerja keras and Rajin. This poolside cottage features wrap around windows that give way to the forest green for quiet meditation. This joglow houses a king sized four poster.
Each cottage has a choice of air conditioning or fan.the beds are netted. the bathrooms are appointed with western style fixtures. There is a safe and small refrigerator provided in each cottage.
A reminder that villa bodhi is a private residence.built as a living showroom for bali antiques and contemporary home furnishings. Some items may be purchased.

Location
Villa Bodhi is about 7 km or 15 minutes drive from central Ubud with its well-known cultural attraction, cultural performances and many shops and restaurants.
 About 30-40 Minutes north of Villa Bodhi there is elephant safari park at Taro Village. Ubud, , is just 15-20 minutes south of the Village of Tiyingan where you can find many local attractions, On the other side of Ubud, about 10 minutes drive, the village of Pejeng whose temple has the famous drum, the Moon of Pejeng. Its 5 minute drive from Petang to Goa Gajah (Elephant cave from the first kingdom of Bedulu) where you will enter the cave to view the Statue of Ganesha inside of the cave.
White Water Rafting: Sobek run rafting on the Ayung River is about 8-10 minutes drive from the villa. North of the villa about 90 minutes drive is Kintamani with famous lake and mount Batur.
Further south there is also the excellent Bali Bird Park, about 30 mins drive from the Villa on the road to Denpasar which passes the Four Seasons Hotel.
