There are three air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Bali-Bali One, located on the ground floor and accessed via an intriguing passageway from the living & dining area. The passageway has a glass-pitched roof and a stone floor, and a shelf runs along one side displaying a collection of natural rocks mounted upon stands.
The master bedroom is split level with four steps leading up to the sleeping area. It features a teak floor under a soaring roof and is furnished with a four-poster king size bed draped in netting. The ethnic theme is embraced in this room with a textile wall hanging, while glass doors open out into a private garden. Stepping down into the semi open-air ensuite bathroom, guests can enjoy the luxury of bathing in a big circular Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom is also fitted with a marble washbowl on a pedestal and a walk-in shower positioned beside a window overlooking the private walled garden.
The second bedroom is similar in style to the master with an abundance of teak. It is furnished with a king size four-poster bed with nets, and showcases Lombok pottery lamps. It shares its ensuite bathroom with the third bedroom, which is smaller but nonetheless very romantic with a king size four-poster bed. The shared semi open-air bathroom can be accessed by doors from both bedrooms and is fitted with twin washbowls and a walk-in shower with a view into a private garden. Each bedroom is provided with a built-in wardrobe and a safe deposit box.
Living & Dining Room
The living room at Bali-Bali One is open to the garden with two distinct sitting areas furnished with built-in cushioned sofas and rustic coffee tables; it is also equipped with a mini-bar fridge. The room is characterised by a beautiful teak floor under a sweeping ironwood shingle roof, lined with woven rattan. The roof slopes at a steep angle and overhangs the room at a low level, providing plenty of shade. Three steps lead from the living room down to the semi open-air dining room, which features a pebble rock floor and a ‘Batu Yogya’ stone wall to one side. It is furnished with a table and eight chairs. A stairway leads from the living room to an open mezzanine entertainment lounge with a built-in sofa that hugs the wall, and a teak floor under the soaring roof. This cosy snug is equipped with a 21” cable-channel TV, DVD player and sound system. Antique artefacts grace the walls.

The beautifully manicured gardens at Bali-Bali One are planted with travelers’ palms, sweet scented frangipani, bougainvillea and a showy border of plumbago. An immaculate lawn rolls down a gentle slope, and a half moon swimming pool rests to one side, complete with a deck furnished with sunbeds, and a ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion. The garden connects with Villa Bali-Bali Two, yet is still private.
